On Thursday the 18th of March we celebrate The International Museum Day 2017, which means that there will be especially designed activities for this year topic: Museums and Controversial History. Two days later that same week we celebrate The European Museum Night in which the museums lengthen their opening hours so we can live the exhibitions at night. They prepare activities such as performances, screenings and animations. You can enjoy both museum days for free.
From Sunday 14th of May to June 18th, from 09:00 to 21:00 in Plaza de la Reina, you can enjoy this ancient handicraft market that have lasted from the days of Jaume I, where you can find Valencian ceramics and typical utensils of the Valencian traditional kitchen.
As part of those acts we want to highlight two unique events in Valencia that rarely can be seen outside our beloved Fallas.
- The 13th at 24:00 a firework display begins in front of The Serranos Towers.
- Mascletà at 14:00 in Plaça de l’Ajuntament on the 14th.
From the 5th of May to the 13th of October, each Friday from 20:00 to 22:00 a stage will be set in the south lake of l’Hemisfèric. There we will enjoy the musical performance of the students of the famous Berklee College of Music Valencia. They will perform all types of styles such as funk, jazz, hip-hop, pop music, etc. in the open air. The entrance is free for everyone.
Who doesn’t love a tapa or beer for 2,50 euros o drinks for 5 euros? From the 29th of April to the 29th of May that’s what you will be able to taste during Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays afternoons in more than thirty bars around the city.
Without doubt, this is one of the most expected musical events of the month in Valencia: everybody knows Ricky Martin, whether you like his music style or not. After solding out all the tickets for his first concert on the 26th in Plaza de Toros de Valencia in less than 24 hours, the artist added another date (the 28th) so you can still buy tickets for 49 euros.
This is an art event in which the local workshops open so everybody can learn about how they work and where they create their art. There is no planned route, it is totally free and the people is free to explore and enjoy. It will start on Friday 26th at 19:00h.
After the great success of last year, Palo Market Fest returns to the Viveros Gardens. In this exclusive event in Valencia you will not only find food trucks with creative and organic food, but also fashion and design, along with live music all day long.
The price of the tickets is 5 euros online and 7 euros at the ticket office. Timetable: Friday 26th from 18:00 to 24:00, Saturday 27th from 12:00 to 24:00, Sunday from 28th from 12:00 to 20:00.
