Free Museums in Valencia
This is the museum with the largest art collection in Spain after the Prado Museum and the most important one in the Valencian Community. It is placed in a magnificent building, designed in 1683 and finally ended well into the XVIII century. This construction has been used with different purposes during its history. The museum specially collects the works of the most recognized Spanish and Valencian artists. There is no doubt that this is a MUST visit if you come to Valencia. Free entry from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 20:00.
On the beach
Located in the old place where standed the writer’s chalet, right on Malvarrosa Beach, this house museum honors the life of our most famous and well-known writer. The house museum has 3 floors in which you can see personal belongings and portraits, as well as a large library and all the necessary to learn about the life and work of Blasco Ibáñez. Free entry on Sundays and public holidays from 9:30 to 15:00
Conference Centre Area
Devoted to the history of our city from 138 B.C. until today, this museum is located in a beautiful building that historically was the first storage of water in Valencia. The exhibition exhibits archaelogical, artistic and historical pieces and manages to tell us the history of the city in a didactic an entertaining way. Free entry on Sundays and public holidays from 10:00 to 14:00.
